MEDIC Money™ ("MEDIC Money," "we," "us") operates the website at medicmoneyapp.com and related mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you register or sign in (email/password, Google, Apple, or Facebook), we receive your name, email address, profile photo (if provided by the sign-in provider), and a unique user identifier. Sign in with Apple may hide your email address from us via Apple’s private relay.
Financial planning data you enter. Assessment answers, savings plans, bill comparisons, net worth entries, employer benefits explorations, and similar content you choose to save in the app.
Mobile app — contacts (optional). If you use Bill Renegotiation in My Plans on the mobile app, you may grant permission to read your device contacts so we can suggest phone numbers that match your service providers. Contact data is processed on your device for matching; we do not upload your address book. If you choose to save a provider phone number, only that number and provider name are stored in our shared provider directory.
Provider directory. When you or our bill analysis tools supply a customer service phone number for a recurring bill, we may store the provider name and number in a directory to help other users renegotiate similar services. Numbers from AI bill analysis are extracted from statement text you upload.
Usage data. Basic technical logs from our hosting and authentication providers to keep the service secure and reliable.
We use your information to provide and improve MEDIC Money features you request, sync your saved data across sessions, authenticate you securely, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Functions) to host accounts and store your app data. If you use Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in, those providers process your login according to their own privacy policies.
We use the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Reddit Pixel on medicmoneyapp.com to measure website visits and advertising performance (for example, page views, registration, and checkout). These partners may receive browser and device information and may use cookies or similar technologies. Where we send customer match signals (such as email), TikTok receives SHA-256 hashed values. See each partner’s privacy policy for details. You can limit ad tracking in your browser or device settings.
Optional AI features (Ask Finna, bill statement analysis, and statement extraction for paystubs/W-2s or mortgage documents) send the text or files you submit, plus relevant account context we already store (such as profile basics, assessment answers, bills, benefits, payroll fields, or net worth), to Google Gemini (Google LLC), a third-party AI service, through our secure backend so responses can be personalized. Before any of those features send data, the mobile app shows a full-screen in-app permission that discloses what data will be sent, identifies who receives it (Google Gemini / Google LLC), and requires you to tap Allow. This permission is shown after sign-in and again before each AI feature if you have not allowed sharing. Policy-only disclosure is not relied on alone. Uploaded statement files are processed for analysis and are not intended for long-term storage. Redact account numbers and other sensitive details before uploading.
We retain your account and saved app data until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. In the mobile app, go to Profile → Delete account. See also our Data Deletion Instructions.
You can update profile details in the app, sign out at any time, or delete your account from Profile → Delete account. You may also revoke MEDIC Money access in your Google, Apple, or Facebook account settings.
